  • Lifelong learning. We are committed to creating high-quality content that inspires curiosity and fosters learning in the most diverse audiences: whether it be a student reviewing for an exam or expanding on a topic, a teacher preparing a lesson, a parent helping their child with their homework, or just the curious reader wanting to learn something new.

Why should you trust our content?

For an article to be published in our encyclopedias, it must go through several stages of writing, editing, content verification, and design:

  • Identifying and defining the topic. Readers’ needs are identified by analyzing the most popular searches. Once the topic has been clearly defined, it is commissioned from the writing team.
  • Writing. Subject-matter experts in each field are given a topic along with specific guidelines on how to approach it in order to ensure the content is simple, well-organized, and accessible to our readers. At this stage, a first draft of the article is written.
  • Editing. Draft articles pass to the editing stage, in which editors check the grammar and spelling of the whole text. In addition, they point out anything that may be unclear or has room for improvement to ensure an optimal reading experience.
  • Reviewing. Following the editing stage, the specialists perform a second review of the articles. At this stage, all modifications made during editing are checked to ensure they are correct, and any pending issues are resolved.
  • Graphics. If an article can be enhanced with graphics, the editing area requests the design team to create original diagrams, infographics, timelines, or any other visual aids that may add value and help explain the topic more effectively.
  • Final revision. Editors perform a second and final proofreading to confirm the article contains no errors and meets the quality standards of our websites.
  • Publication. The final text goes to the publication stage, where graphics and formatting criteria are applied according to the website layout.

Once this process is completed, the article is made available to our readers.

In addition, we conduct periodic revisions and copy editing of all our articles to ensure our content is up-to-date and relevant.

  • Verified content: Articles labeled as "verified content" have been recently peer-reviewed in depth and copy edited by subject-matter experts. This ensures the information given is backed up with trusted and up-to-date academic sources. Relevant references are provided at the end of each article.
